The skills you need to develop to handle people with different personality traits are explained here. With these tips, you can arrive at a win-win situation with your partner. This skill of managing people efficiently, is definitely an another string to your bow.

If your associate is an Extrovert
• Listen attentively.
• Be actively responsive.
• Be energetic and enthusiastic.
• Support his need to communicate.
• Recognize his need for social interaction.

If your associate is an Introvert
• Relate one to one.
• Value his need for privacy.
• Allow him time to change focus.
• Ask questions to draw him out.
• Do not pressurize for an instant response.

If your associate is a Sensor
• Be orderly and organized.
• Show facts with evidence.
• Be direct and to the point.
• Draw on his experience.
• Be practical. Because he is practical.

If your associate is a Intuitive
• Give him an Overview.
• Have a vision of the future.
• Appeal to his imagination.
• Encourage his need to explore.
• Allow for expansion of his ideas.

If your associate is a Thinker
• Expect questions.
• Use logic.
• Be calm and reasonable.
• Be brief, concise, yet thorough.
• Present information for his analysis.

If your associate is a Feeler
• Be honest and sincere.
• Be personal and friendly.
• Share with him your feelings.
• Encourage him to share his feelings.
• Allow him to know and trust you.

If your associate is a Judger
• Don’t disturb his order.
• Be prepared and deliberate.
• Value his time because he values it.
• Finalize whenever and wherever possible.
• Take his deadlines seriously.

If your associate is Perceiver
• Be open to options and changes.
• Use variety in your approach.
• Let him set his own deadlines.
• Make use of his resourcefulness.

Each one of us exhibit our behavior or react in our own way to general situations, which is mostly predictable as it depends largely on our personality. But during strenuous situations, we deviate from the normal behavior.
